I'm leaning towards spec'ing this for a project soon to go with the AVR-3808CI. It seems like a logical choice for the XM & ipod metadata on the remote, but I have a few questions...
First of all, I've been a commercial installer/designer/Crestron programmer for 15 years. I'm just now starting to get into the HT market (commercial gets boring!) so please excuse my ignorance on some HT technology & terminology. I've only done a few MX-3000's, otherwise I've been all Crestron, and I guess I've been spoiled by it; but, since every homeowner isn't willing to spring for a TPMC-8X or two, I guess I need to learn some of these other control options! Anyways...
There is no information on the Denon site regarding the RC-7000CI/RC-7001RCI. I found a link to a review here that says the remote can control other manufacturers products, but does anybody know if that is only products from their database, or can I learn my own commands into it?
Do I need the networkable ipod dock to get the ipod metadata or does the regular d-dock work for that?
I plan to control a PS3 (via the Nyko IR rcvr), a Panasonic PT-AE2000U (is there discrete ON/OFF available?), the iPod, and the customers sat receiver (TBD). Anybody forsee any issues here or have any helpful tips? Thanks in advance!

Geez, ZERO info on this remote in online forums.

Did you end up programming this, Dan Otterdahl?

Sorry for the delay... I don't look here often. I sold that piece of crap on e-bay. It may work for some, but I would steer clear of it. Sorry, I hope that helps!
