Ok, I am new here, and I have a quick question hopefully someone can help me out with. I know in my office we have a small litte double ended "iR reciever" that you can stick one end on the inside of the cabinet where our equipment is and the other side up by the tv so you can control the directv box with the cabinet door closed. I need one of these cables. In my new set up at home all my equipment does not have line of sight while sitting on the couch. What are these cables called and where can I get one? Or does anyone have any better ideas?

You are looking for an emitter. For your new setup, you are going to need a IR Receiver, Emitter, Connecting block (with Power Supply). You can go to Smarthouse.com
Here is a link to a speakercraft IR Kit. [Link: smarthome.com]
