i own a sansung hcn6537w wich is able to display up to 1080i through a dvi input connection, i recently bought a sony dvp-ns75h with displays up to 1080i through a hdmi connection. this connection now requires me to switch the input setting from component to dvi but to do this i have to push the button on the samsung remote several times to get there. so to the point im looking for a touch screen remote like the pronto, or maybe the new harmony 1000 when it comes out, thinking i spend up to 1,000 on a remote but will these remotes eliminate the multipul button pushing . for instance my hd cable box is connected by component cables which is a component input on my tv so i have to put the remotes input button 4 times to get from the dvi input to the component input

Not sure about your TV model, but most Samsung televisions have discrete codes which will allow for direct access to the input. You should look into a Universal MX-3000 or an RTI t3 remote. you will need a pro for these, but will do excatly what you want it to do. With these remote you can have a macro programmed for each source.
For example when you press DVD the macro will run like this. TV on, DVD on, Receiver On? TV to HDMI input, Receiver to DVD input, Touchscreen page will change to DVD page all with a press of one button.
