I've had these speakers for > 10 years. The remote has now basically disintegrated and is no longer functional. For the past year, I've only had the circuit board with the battery hand soldered ... sad, but functional. Now it's completely toast and I can't use my speakers.
I'm basically looking for the cheapest remote that I can find that either has the codes for the Meridian speakers or into which I can load the codes from somewhere. Learning of course is no longer an option :(
Help?

OK, following up here for the one potentially random person that might care about this in the future. I ended up buying the Logitech Harmony 520 and it works fine. I had to select AV Receivers, and then choose Meridian, then enter D600 as the model number. It recognized that model, added it to my devices and synched to the remote without issue. Works like a charm ... yay.

My D600 remote still works but it has terrible range so I have to be right next to the speaker to use it. But I got a GE universal remote for $5 at Big Lots and was able to get it to control my speakers by having it search through all the codes it knows until one works. I think the only functions that work are volume and muting but those are the only ones I need. I leave all the other settings alone on my speakers. So it's probably a less complete solution than spending $150 on a Logitech Harmony 520 but it does everything I need and it only cost $5.
P.S. If you ever need your D600 speakers repaired, Meridian will no longer do it for you but I found a neighbor who was able to do it for me.
