I have had a first-generation Pronto for >5 years, and was the happiest remote user on earth!

I would have upgraded, but I really enjoyed being able to go on for many months on a pair of alkaline batteries, and that (for me) has fully offset any color-screen pleasures etc for a long time.

However, the Pronto now died, so I need to do something.

I have a very complex AV system, with a front projector, a media streamer (Sonos), motorized drapers, lighting, a fully cat5-ethernet-cabled house, and a bunch of other gadgets.

What shall I do? I like the ProntoEdit, and I can handle it with ease. Therefore, it would seem logical to upgrade to one of the higher-end Prontos (alas, I will need a cradle for recharging, but that seems now to be unavoidable anyway).

On the other hand, I have read that the NevoSL would give me much more flexibility, particularly with its WiFi option. I feel tempted, but on the other hand none of my current gear is WiFi-enabled (except the Sonos, but that's a proprietary net and will not be hackable). So, which advantages would the NevoSL really give me over the Pronto???

Any response would be highly (I mean REALLY highly) appreciated!!!
