I have a bunch of different remotes currently and would like to change them all down to one remote control. I have a jvc tv, phillips surround (dvd), cable box, ps2, and xbox i would like to all control without losing all the functions. plus i would like to be able to hit play dvd and starts everything for me or play game and it already sets the inputs changes the surround sound and hopefully some of the tv features. One thing that really irritates me now is that i have to hit input way to many times on my remote for it to set the input to what i need on my tv. I would also like to not spend anymore than 150 dollars so please any input would be appreciated thanks.

hey rdzmzda, i personally have the logitech harmony 550 and wanted something similar where one button would automatically turn on multiple devices and the correct tv input. my system is similar to yours (TV, receiver, ps3, tivo) and everything works great, except for the ps3 which unfortunately doesn't have IR support (uses bluetooth). i got it from dell for around $70 shipped, and i believe they have another deal on it now as well. for the price, it's got a lot of features, looks nice, and is easy to configure and use. the only drawback I've experienced is that the battery life isn't the greatest, but i now use rechargeable batteries so it's not so bad.

Either a harmony 880 or the Philips Pronto TSU-3500.
