Hello all, just joined. Having a lot of issues finding what I want. I have a Naim Audio remote for my preamp that is the original from 1990. It uses the RC5 protocol. I want to find another remote for using the volume control. The original remote has the balance control that I do NOT want on another remote. There has to be remotes that will turn the volume up and down using this protocol that has no balance control. Better yet as few of buttons as possible.

Problem with this remote is that the balance controls are too easy to hit and ruin the balance of a perfect sounding system. None of the other buttons ever get used.

why not purchase a JP1 remote and just make it work with your commands?
Do you know what the commands are in RC5 (assuming the original remote is still working)

You may be able to configure a cable box remote to control Volume on your Naim.
