Hello,
I have an HD Directv HD receiver, a Polaroid 32" HD monitor, Tivo DVR, a Panasonic SA-HT650 DVD/Home sound system and Panasonic VHS VCR. I am having great difficulty hooking this system up! So many inputs are confusing me. I used to just daisy chain everthing but now with all the imputs on the Directv and HD tv, I'm building a wiring nightmare! Does anyone have a simple proceedure of hooking everthing up? Any help will be welcome. Thanks.

To do this with inputs from TV:

1.Tivo: Run a component(if HD) wire, plus RCA audio wire from the output to one HD component input on tv. If non HD: Run one set of red white yellow RCA wires to input on tv.

2. HD reciever: Run one component PLUS one set of RCA audio wire to one HD component input on TV. Then run another set of RCA red white and yellow cable from an output from the HD reciever to the tivo input.

3. Run a set of white and red audio cables to AUDIO OUTPUT OF TV to THE INPUT OF THE DVD for SURROUND with ANYTHING that plays on tv. all you need to do is put the surround on that input and you have surround for what ever is playing on TV.

4. Run a set of Component wires plus RCA audio(white and red) wires from component out put of DVD to ANOTHER HD Input of tv. If no HD input available use a set of red white and yellow RCA wires from output of DVD to input OF TV.

5. vhs: Run a set of red white and yellow wires from output of VHS to input OF TV.
