Current Remote - Harmony Elite
Current AV - Sony 4K XBR-55X930E, Sony 4K UBPX-800 Blu-Ray Player, Sony HT-ST 5000 Sound Bar, DirecTV Genie 2 DVR Genie Server Receiver (HS17) (4K)

Up until our recent all Sony AV purchase the Harmony Elite has been the best. Integrating the multitude of Sony commands from their highly detailed OEM remotes has baffled me. I must admit the task is beyond my Elite on-line programing skills. With this said, I would be happy to use each Sony remote if they were only back lite but they are not so here I am seeking a new remote that can handle this awesome chore.

Harmony usually handles the switching for you. If it doesnt i would imagine its because you are routing sources into the soundbar then video out to the TV making the sound bar be your source switch (that harmony cant control properly).

I have no experience with the sound bar you have. Sound bars for me have always been passive speaker level inputs or active with audio out from the TV...and the TV handles source input/switching.

I really do not know how to reply. The Elite has always been on top of everything. It is doing better but with so many remote options on my three Sony devices it seems almost impossible to get them programed in a way that we can remember what is what. Thanks.....If the Sony remotes had back lighting we would use them. That is a very harsh thing to say about my Elite.

Hi Emile

I replied to your other post with the same reply.

All that needs to be done is add the additional commands to your activities.

You can add them to the Touch screen or the hard buttons.

If you want me to guide you through this process please send me a private message with your contact info.

The links below provides instructions on how to change the commands for your Harmony Elite Activities.
