I have a RM-VL610, I love it, but it's almost dead... the tv button doesn't repond anymore, I had to reprogram it to a different button, but now the channel and volume buttons also are responding less and less.... this one I can't find new anymore for the "correct" price, which was about 30 euro's.

What if I want a similar remote, fully programmable, and many buttons as this one has. And I would not want to pay much more than this one has cost...
Are there options?
Who can give me the winning number?

thanks for any input.

We switched to the RM-VLZ620, we only get about 2 years daily use before the buttons start going bad. The RM-VLZ620 does not have the feature to learn all the buttons from another Sony remote, but I do not remember if the VL610 had it either. I know some of the earlier Sony models we owned did have that feature which was nice. The RM-VLZ620 is a little more difficult to "teach" buttons, needs good alkaline batteries for the learning process - and I have read some posts from people have purchased RM-VLZ620 that refuse to learn and needed to be replaced. However, of the 4 we purchased so far, all have work OK. I was looking for a new model but have not found any yet. Price seems to be about $30.00 US
