I've been searching for a remote that is at least "user friendly" to operate, so my wife can easily watch TV or a DVD. After investigating the many remotes available I think the 748 may be the one. Does any one have any experience with this remote?

I need to control my Panasonic Plasma HDTV, Direct TV Satellite/DVR receiver, Denon AVR1802 receiver, Sony DVD recorder, Yamaha DVD/CD player and possibly an additional audio receiver.

I want to set it so when the TV is turned on the Denon automaticly turns on and selects the correct inputs/outputs. If the DVD player is turned on, again the correct inputs/outputs will be selected and the basic DVD functions will automatically be displayed and functional from the remote.

Any feed back/ info is appreciated.

the Home Theater Master Mx-850 is very wife friendly. Has a main screen with the macro ability that you want and any button can do anything you program it to do on the computer. My wife complained about all the remotes, and then complained i spent $300 on a remote, and now loves it.

I would move this into the "Which Remote Should I buy!?" thread. But back to the remote, go with something like the URC line of LCD remotes, or the Pronto Line of Touchscreens.

to help you out we need to know a few things.
1st. Do you want a touch screen or a hard button remote with a LCD screen?
2nd. Do you want RF (radio frequancy) or IR only?
3rd. Do you have a budget???

With these questions answered it will help us point you in the right direction.

The MX-900 is an extremely popular remote. I've had many customers turning to that after they used Harmony remotes, mainly because they liked the layout of the remote better.

It can be programmed to be very simple to use.

You are welcome to call for a free consultation. I would be happy to help.

Thank you,
Damon DG
