I have previous experience setting up ir blasters to control multiple devices in media closets, and even once setup a Harmony Ultimate with a different Samsung TV that was controlled by bluetooth, with a media closet only a few feet away.

Samsung UN78HU9000 (rf controlled) for this project, house is prewired, with hdmi, optical and ethernet going from family room wall down to media closet in basement. (from tv 20 feet to wood door to stairs leading down, media closet is under wood stairs.)

However, I am not confident about the RF range of the Harmony Ultimate in this situation and the UN78HU9000's ir blaster abilities

Will the Samsung remote be able to handle controlling a STB, blueray player and receiver EASILY? (I see in the manual that this TV only has one ir blaster, and I don't know if a splitter with generic blasters will work).

Or is there a better setup I should be considering?
