I am trying to find a remote for an elderly couple to control their TV, DVD, and DirecTV. There is no receiver involved. Their problem is in switching TV inputs between DirecTV and DVD.

I will be the person setting it up for them, but I live 60 minutes away so I think having it be non-computer interface would be good, so I could troubleshoot via phone if anything goes wrong.

The fewer buttons, the better. They most likely will use the factory remotes for each device. I just want a macro that will turn on the TV and switch to the appropriate input, then put it down. I think a Logitech would be too much for them and am hoping for a simpler alternative.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.
