Just upgraded to genie, unfortunately the second box has the same ir codes and my unzone ir system in the house changes all of the boxes. I was forced to rf remote or rezone my system, which is messy. Is there a universal or programmable remote out there that will broadcast the rf and learn ir commands and macros for my other equipment so I do not need two remotes?

What genie do you have, the HR44 or HR34? What is the second receiver model #? And no universal remote will control the Directv receiver in RF mode.

Actually Nevo had a model that would do it. I think it was the C3.

Those are discontinued, and if the OP has the HR44, then it will not work since the hr44 uses a different frequency.

The Nevo and AR remotes that could have controlled a Directv receiver in RF mode, problem with it is you could only have one receiver, either IR or RF. The OP has two receivers.
