I currently have a set of MX-900 remotes programmed on 2 different rooms systems (AV Home theater systems). Both of them are starting to act up, a few buttons don't work, sticky.... I've had both serviced/cleaned up by URC last year, so that worked for about 1 year. But I think they are now done!

So, quickly looking around, I found the newer TRC-1280 and MRX-10 blaster/control module. PRoblem is, they are REDICULOUSLY priced. They will cost more than myt dang DENON high end 3313CI professional Amp/AV reciever for heavens sake!

So what are my options? Something at or under $500 total (remote and blaster) that allows custom programmign and learning....

The Harmony remote (Ultimate) comes with a blaster, BUT the blaster only has 2 outputs which will NOT work for me. I have 8 IR/RF devices, (Denon, Samsung TV, Samsung Blu-Ray, Custom hydraulic TV lift, CD player, multimedia player, DirecTV, Cable box).

I'm an IT guy, so programming is a breeze....
DUDE!! Where's my remote???

Since you already have the software, go with mx-780, and look for its clone the x-7 at bargain prices else where.
