Hi all, I'm in some serious need of some advice.....

I bought a Asus et2300nti which has an hdmi input and output. The output shows what's happening on the pc and the input allows you to use the monitor to as tv. As an optional extra you could get a remote control as the monitor has a built in receiver. But they haven't got any in stock and aren't getting any soon.

The output I'm not bothered about because I can control everything via the pc controls but when I use the monitor as a tv I want to be able to change the volume as the default level is really loud. The osd has no volume controls and there's no volume buttons either.

I've spoken to Asus and Currys who I purchased it from and neither know which original control I need or which universal one might work.

Ideally I'd be able to just program my sky remote with the correct code but I wont be that lucky. Alternatively I have got a Samsung Galaxy S4 which has the built in irda and and the 'Smart Remote' app on the play store, as universal remotes go this allows me to control every device I've tried accept for the PC.

Eventually I'll get to the point, does anyone have any ideas on which remote will work, or any other solutions to this frustrating problem.
