I am trying to find a touch screen remote that is compatible with TIVO. I have only found two. The Harmony 880 and the Sony RM-AX4000; and they both got terrible reviews. I am on a budget so I am not looking for top of the line either. The remote is a gift and the 2 requirements are that it must be touch screen and it must be compatible with TIVO. Any help would be great!!!

DESPERATELY SEARCHING!!!!

Uh, Harmony 880 is not touch screen.

What price range are you looking in? You could go with an older pronto, or the RC9800i, but it really depends on what you want to spend.

yeah touchscreen is generally found on higher end models.... unless you buy used/refurb. more than likely ANY of the harmony series will control your Tivo. if there are some commands that arent there automatically then you can learn the commands that are missing from your original remote. check out the Harmony 600 series.

I really don't want to spend anymore than $200 but if I can't get a decent
touch screen for that price I would rather not buy one at all. I know I have seen
many for upwards of $500. Is that what I should think of spending for
a good one? Thx for your help!!

Yeah. Anything under about $500 would be pretty outdated.

If you don't want a touch screen, try looking into URC's MX-850. You can probably get it for around $200. Email some of the authorized dealers per the address on their website. www.surfremote.com, www.proremotes.com, and www.bluedo.com are all good places to buy from.

If you want a color screen, look into the Harmony 880. Not quite the level of customization of a URC, but it's in color.
