I have been searching and I am not having very good luck finding a remote I want.
I have a MX 700 remote that has served me very well. I would like to upgrade and get something different that I can still do the macros and program with my PC. One thing I don't like on the mx 700 is the back lighting of the display. depending upon what lighting I have on, it is hard to see the screen and read what it says.

What would be a modern day swap for the old mx-700? I have been sniffing around the harmony remote and the universal remote websites trying to decide what I want. Anyone got a good recommedation?
Thanks
Wayne

MX-900 maybe? Not the most recent of the URC remotes, but almost the same programming procedure, far improved backlight, and USB programming.

URC software is available to authorized dealers only. The policy is that while URC will not distribute software to or support end users, dealers may distribute it at their discretion. This means you have to do your homework first and ask if your dealer will give you the software. Remember they do not have to. Since they become your support chain, most will not hand it out.
