The MX 850 Severed me well as a learning tool and had fun programming the remote, with it controlling all my AV, X10 and Lutron lighting with lots of macros and little tweaks here and there.
The biggest issue was the Widows OS limitations

I would like to stay with the same programming format but the next one needs to be able to use a windows7 84bit OS I do not want the headache of running a virtual OS to program.

And of course the programming software needs to be available

Price is maxed out at whatever I can hide from the wife so I figure 250-300$ I would like to keep it more on the $200 side as opposed to the other end of the scale but I am open to any suggestions

Thanks

I think you are going to struggle to find anything that runs on "windows7 84bit"

Have you looked at the URC mx-780?
