My stack is simple: Sony Bravia TV, Sony BD, Sony Audio, and Roku netbox.
I am done with harmony 510 and looking for a replacement. My only need is to turn all the bass and SW to min and treb to max and vice versa. The number of steps with this sony stuff is amazing with the complex and deep menu systems. Harmony can't do all the steps in one program and editing more than 10 lines with harmony is very disharmonious.
Are there any remotes that let us write commands (need 80 steps) to a text file for programming then transfer to the remote via usb? I don't care if the prog language is complex.
Thank you.

JP1. Basically your garden variety cheap universal remote with an interface cable you can buy from another DIY-type and then use community-made software to send up a giant macro. The basics of these remotes (a lot of the content is pretty old on the main pages): [Link: hifi-remote.com]The forum where all the current information is: [Link: hifi-remote.com]

Actually, I think Xsight is a better fit. It lets you specify durations, so each max and min becomes one step with a press-and-hold duration rather than 20 steps.
I'm a big proponent of JP1, and such a thing is also do-able with either custom protocols or recursive macros, but Xsight is easier. The 12G is about equivalent to a 510 device-wise and is about $30.
However, first you really need to take a step back and find simpler solutions for your macros. 80 steps is ridiculous. Surely there are some discretes or different strategies to achieve the same thing much more easily.
