Hi, so I've searched and found a few old threads addressing this question but was hoping someone had updated information. My situation is this, I am trying to control several components (receiver, satellite, blu-ray) that are located in the room directly behind my tv (tv, wall, components). Is an RF capable remote going to work sufficiently for this setup or am I better off getting a wired IR repeater system. We are currently having some work done on the house so both are options at this point. I would prefer the RF option if it will work, but don't want to pay for the remote only to find out that it will only work occasionally.
Thanks in advance for the input. I'm new to all this, so as of yesterday, I had never heard of RF capable remotes and IR repeaters.
Matt
