i bought a sony dvp - nc80v for 2 dollars. It works just fine but it has no remote. I was wondering if there is a cheap universal remote that will work. thank you for any help.

Nearly any OneForAll, or Comcast, or Atlas remote used by other cable companies will work. Use setup code video 0533 or 1533 (20533 or 21533 for remotes that take 5 digit setup codes).
Probably lots of other universal will work for most of the basic functions.
