I am actually replacing a remote for a LED sign. I can't find one anywhere and came up with the bright idea of using a learning remote. I have a One For All 9910 model that was working just fine until I hit the memory full notification after about 28 codes. I need to be able to put in about 40.

So, I'm looking for an inexpensive learning remote that can hold more codes than the urc-9910.

I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks!

I don't know that you will find a remote with the RAM capacity you need on the cheap. There are many remotes on the market that will handle your needs, I just don't think you are willing to crank out the $ to get them.

A couple of simple suggestions....

Have you contacted the manufacture for replacement cost of the original remote? Even check FleaBay?

If your on a strict budget and looking for a good DYI project, maybe consider using two of the universal remotes. Put your common commands in one and lesser used in the other. Just food for thought.

You really didn't provide enough info for anyone to provide a good recommendation. Whats the make and model of the sign? Is it IR or RF? Does it have PC control?

We just don't have enough info in your post to help.
I keep pointing my remote at the turntable but, it never advances to the next track.

The Sony RM-VLZ620 (around $20) should have plenty of memory. The RCA RCRP05B ($20) should have just enough memory-- it has twice as much as the 9910.

If you tell us the brand of the sign, we may be able to suggest a setup code for your 9910.
