I have a CC Wifi internet radio from ccrane.com . It supports 99 presets and the first 9 can be accessed using a single button (1, 2, ..., 9) on the supplied IR remote.

The problem is that on the supplied remote it requires 4 button presses to access a station at presets in the range 10-99, e.g. to get the station at preset 23 on the supplied remote:
- one presses Recall and
- then presses --/- and
- then presses 2 and
- then presses 3.

This makes presets 10-99 more difficult to access than I would have liked so I would like to get a remote with buttons that correspond to 0, 1, 2, 3, ... 9, 10, 20, 30, ..., 90 so that presets 10-99 can be accessed with only two button presses, e.g. on the new remote to get the station at preset 23 one would
- press the 20 button
- followed by 3 button
Thus pressing the 20 button on the new remote would generate 3 button presses
- Recall
- followed by --/-
- followed by 2
whereas pressing the button 3 on the new remote would generate the same as the button press for 3 on the supplied remote.

Also there would have to be a slight delay between the signals automatically emitted for keys emitting multiple buttons since the unit seems not to be able to respond to a sequence in rapid succession. For example, currently to access the station at preset 23 I would press Recall and then wait and then press --/- and then wait and then press 2 and then wait and then press 3.

The CC Wifi itself costs under $150 so the remote should be less and hopefully much less than the cost of the radio.

Other preferences are that the button layout be such that one can locate the buttons by feel, i.e. you can use the remote without looking at it, and that there be no lights on the remote.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

I would think that a MX-350 made by URC would do the trick. You could program your multiple key presses into macros appearing on the editable LCD screen.

For example to get preset 23, you would press the 20s button and the 3 button.
If you programmed the 20s macro to be the first three button presses
- one presses Recall and
- then presses --/- and
- then presses 2
Then hit whatever single number you wanted next, 5 for 25, 6 for 26, etc.

I did eventually get a URC remote (different model) and did program in such macros. It was necessary to insert pauses between the successive key presses so that the radio could keep up.
