Hello all,
I've pretty much had it with my 3 Monster AVL-300's (same as Harmony 890 PRO). I have all of my components in a closet in the basement and the darn thing just doesn't do what its suppossed to do.

I've triple checked all of the settings but there are simple things its does not do in the macro (like turn on and off components). I think the fact that I have a Monoprice Matrix doing some switching is confusing things but I just can't figure it out. It was working well until I moved all of my cable boxes downstairs to centralized location to wire three tvs. I honestly feel like the thing is corrupt. I tried my macro for turning my cablebox on and nothing happened. When I hit system off, my PS3 came on. The PS3 is not involved in that macro at all and I had only tested that one macro after a fresh install. The switcher works once in a while but its sort of random. The cableboxes won't power on or off but can change channels. The Integra reciever powers on perfectly but won't power off. I also can't really figure out how to reset it to factory. According to the manual that is not possible. All of the settings in the software are correct. I don't get it. These things were working before. Maybe I have too many things loaded onto the remote (favorites with little logos, and lots of zwave lights).

All the zwave devices work perfectly and ironically those are the ones people have problems with.

I'm going to give it a few more days. But I can't sleep until I figure this out. Perhaps I will change out the RF repeater or reset that completely. I also have my third AVL300 sitting in the packaging but was afraid to open it in case I want to sell it.

Anyway, thanks for listening. I guess my question is what is my best option for controlling the following:
A LOT of Zwave Lights
A full Projector based Home Theater with zwave lighting scenes and the following equipment in a closet:
Integra DTC 9.8 Preamp/processor
PS3 with logitech PS3 adapter
Xbox360/ Wii
Monoprice 4X4 HDMI switching matrix
Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8300HD DVR
Scientific Atlanta Explorer 4250HD

This is also routed to a family room with a Panny Plasma, Sony Bluray, and Sony HTIB.

And finally routed to Master Bedroom with Sony TV.

I guess that means I need RF, Zwave, and multi-room functionality to the remotes. I am new to remotes so please bear with me. I thought I knew what I was doing but things just stopped working this week just when everything was supposed to be coming together.

I see that there are IPAD solutions out there... as well as the NEVO S70. Both seem way more expensive than the Monster but if it works perhaps I can save up for them instead of trying to find a cheap way out. Unfortunately I do not have the funds for any more major home theater investments right now. I don't see anything that had the functionality of the AVL300

I also have a VERA 2 Zwave controller.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I will try tech support and see where that gets me in the mean time.

I would say get the Nevo, but get it fast since they aren't making them anymore.
