I have a In Focus 100 series projector and the remote that came with it was lost. I have the hex codes for the projector from the manufacturer (see link). What is the cheapest remote that I can program with these hex codes. Also, how are the hex codes converted into a form that can be entered onto the remote?

Thanks!

Those codes are in Hexadecimal format and correspond to NEC1 device 244.131. I doubt that you will find any non-computer programmable remote that carries this set of IR signals.

Here are 2 possibilities:
1) Buy the cheapest Logitech Harmony available, tell us, and we'll conver these codes into the Pronto Hex format. You can send these to Logitech, and sooner or later they'll enter those into their database. At that point you can download to the remote. There is a small chance that some other Logitech customer has already done this, and if so, you could download to your remote immediately.

2) Buy (or find laying around) a JP1 capable remote, buy a $29 JP1 cable, and enter the codes yourself. A Comcast remote will work, as will just about any OneForAll, and a number of other cable companies. If you see a 6 pin connector (2 rows of 3 pins, spaced 0.1 inches apart) inside the battery compartment, it is JP1 capable. You can usually buy a used Comcast remote for around $5 including shipping. We can help with entering the codes that way also. If you really want to save money and have soldering skills plus a computer with a serial port, you can make the interface instead of buying it.
