First up is my system.
JVC iArt DLP TV (Old yes, but a new one isn't in the budget yet, and atleast it does 720p/1080i) Denon AVR-589 (Just bought this for $55 shipped :p ) Asus O!Play Air (I have a html based remote, and it has a built in iPod Touch/Phone remote) Motorla DCX3400 DVR Sony SLV-D350P DVD/VCR Teac PD-D2700 5 Disc CD Changer
Right now I'm contemplating a few different options.
Philips Pronto TSU9300/9400/?? Older options?
Harmony 890/900/1000
Nevo S70/Q50/?? Older options?? (Though I'm leaning away from these due to software restrictions, I'm a DiY)
Others?
At first I wanted a full touch panel remote, but now I'm looking for a number of hard buttons, especially a d-pad type set of buttons as I need it for the Asus O!Play.
I like the Activity based systems, however since I have no experience with these my main concern is switching between activities and any issues that may be present with that.
I'd really like a remote where I can completely customize the layout of the buttons etc, and even create my own. Since I know what buttons get used in what "activity" and need to make it simple for the WAF. RF would be nice as well.
