I have several URC MX-800's that I've been very happy with for years. I need to add some remotes, so looking to upgrade. In theory, it looks like I can just swap in an 850 to replace the discontinued 800, is that true?
I also like the color option, and rechargeable batteries in the 880 and 980. Couldn't tell what else I get in the 880 or 980 besides those two things (and the 989 gives me 8 rather than 6 options on the screen at once.)
Are there any good comparative charts? Or key features someone could list?
Also, is it going to be easy to move my configurations from the 800 to any of the 850, 880 or 980? I can always reprogram them completely, but sure would be nice to not have to start from scratch....

I would go with the MX980. As for easy configurations, you could use the MX800 program in the MX850, but not MX880 or MX980.
