I thought this would be simple, but it seems not to be.

I'm looking for (Learning) Universal remote controller w. 7 day timer for Mitsubishi electric MSZ-FD25VA air conditioning unit.

I sent back Mimic, which didn't work at all with this A/C unit.

As far I've learned I need macro capable Learning Universal remote controller w. week timer. At least there must be two timer. One for set OFF and one for set ON. I would love capable mon-fri and sat-sun on-off timer.

Basicly I don't need weekly timer, but timer must not be one time only as it is in current A/C remote.

Basic Idea is save energy in heating mode by turning off A/C heating for night time.

Check ebay for one of the following very old universal remotes: Memorex CP8 or CP8 Turbo, or the Radio Shack(Realistic) 1901, 1901A or 1903. They are all just learning remotes, no codes at all. But they do have timers and marcos, they call them sequences.

Got this jaycar. It's okay, but learning mode is disabled for A/C. I had trouble to get it learn something. But when I figured out that learning eye is other end of the controller learning has been successfull.

This has weekly two timeable macros (up to 15 steps) with interval timing.

I'm going to try record IR signal with IR receiver connected to Comp. line or mic input. Then extract the three separate signals with audio editor and send each line out (with same IR receiver connected) to record this with this controller.
