I am looking at the Universal MX-950 and the RTI T2-C remotes.
I need a remote that is simple to operate (for the family) and to
program (for me.) I need one that I can attach to a repeater as
some of my equipment is in another room. I own some equipment
that is a little off the mainstream chart.
Lexicon, DVDO, Cable Box, Laser disc players, (maybe Escient) etc.
I really need a remote that will be easy and reliable.

Any other suggestions in the $700.00 - $1,200.00 range?

I prefer a hanheld model with a lot of hard buttons. I need to be
able to program on my own. Thanks for any comments.

I believe the RTI is only available to professionals. And it's pretty difficult to program for the average user.
