Hi
When I go on holiday I leave the lights in my house on a timer so that the house looks lived in. But I've noticed that a house with the TV on looks even more lived in because the flickering light creates the feeling of movement in the house.
But connecting the TV to a timer won't switch it on so I've rigged up a timer that powers up an ac plugpack that powers a remote that has the Power button permanently depressed. TV goes on and off when I want it to. But it's a bit of a messy solution, especially when a remote with a built in clock and timer could do the job so easily.
My question is this, does anybody know of a remote that has a timer built in that will turn my TV on and off?
thanks for reading
Pete

There a few remote systems that will do exactly what you are trying to do. However, first thing is your budget, b/c these things aren't cheap and deffinatly aren't DIY.

Cheaply, look for certain universal remotes from the 1980's on ebay, like the Realistic 1901 & 1901A. Or the Memorex CP8 or CP8 turbo. They have timers and macro timers called Sequences.
