Which remote will work with everything I have??
control at least 13 with 1 remote
cost around $100
Not to complicated
easy to see and read
good signal strength
good battery length or re chargeable batteries
easy to set up/ program or at least easy to follow instruction book
one touch program (ex. turn on and change all setting to watch netflixs on the xbox360)
The universal remote need to be upgradable. What I mean is ... when I upgrade to a new digital TV, HD DVD player, new surround sound, or what ever new hi tech gadgets that may come out . I wont have to buy another remote but instead just reprogram.
Here's what I have now and want to control:
Samsung DVD player (DVD-HD841)
Yamaha AV Receiver (HTR-5740)
DirecTV receiver (D10-300 )
Toshiba TV (42H82)
GE VCR (VG4064)
DVD Micro Theatre (MCD515)
Mitsubishi TV (WS-55413)
symphonic TV (ST-413B)
Dish Digital TV Converter (TR-40CRA)
Tivax Digital TV converter (STB-T9)
But would be content being able to control the Yamaha receiver, xbox360 for (netflix), direct tv, DVD and TV.
I tried the Philips PDVR8 and hate it. I could not get it to work with the xbox, xbox360 or Yamaha receiver. Plus the small lettering is hard to see.
Thanks for your Help.

Your asking for quite a bit for 100 bucks. I'm not going to torture you with a Harmony, my vote would be for the MX-350. You can pick one up at Amazon for $109. It can learn codes, has a decent pre-prepgramed database and can be hand-programmed with macros and the like.
I still think you need to up your ante a little more if you want to have some of the features you discussed and a better all around experience.

Thanks for your advise.
And I'll bite.
How much more do I need to fork over for a truly good remote.
I would rather spend more making sure this time I can run everything with one remote.
