Hello,

I would like to find a cheap remote to manage my electric devices :
-LG 42LF2510 flat tv.
-CREATIVE gigaworks S750 sound set : [Link: clubic.com]
- CREATIVE DDTS100 decoder : [Link: fr.creative.com]
-popcorn hour a100 movie player

My problem is that the gigaworks have it's own volume level (general+one for each speaker), and when you power the thing off, the settings are LOST ! It's very boring to setup. I would like to use macro to keep them.
The DDTS100 also have it's own volume setup for each speaker, but the settings are kept even after power down.

I also want to buy a remote controled switch that I would plug on the.. multiplug where all that hardware is plugged, and then instead of having all of them in energy saving mode once off, they could be totaly off after a push on the remote.

Can you help me to find a remote to do that ? I'm seeking for a cheap one.
I don't think that I need so much options for each device : 20 buttons is enough.

I have all the remotes for each system.

Thanks,

Houb.

EDIT: I also have a ps3 but it's ok for me to use the ps3 remote for movie playing.

What is your budget?
Are you willing to pay someone to program it, or does it have to be something you can do yourself?

Hello,

I can programm it myself.

The remote that I would like to get is the harmony one, but since it's an expensive one for me, I'm wondering if 50$/60$ can be enough for what I need.

One of my main problem is that I need to make several actions on my sound settings (volume up for several channels, volume down for some others, select video source) before to use my tv, ps3,etc..

Thank you for your help :)

EDIT: I read that the harmony one can only execute some scripts including 5 actions. It's not fitting at all with what I need. I need a lot more.

Agree. It would probably be easier to get a real Audio Video Receiver that has proper control commands.

You can get a remote to do what you are in need of. Look at the URC stuff, they are very powerful and flexible. Most people think they can program themselves, but can't always get it all the way there. Take your time and really think things through.
