OK, I'm new to universal remotes, so be nice!

I have:

Yamaha V620 AV Receiver
LG DVD player
Sony HD300 sat receiver
Sony TV (51" wide screen)

I'm looking for an RF based remote that's relatively no frills. For example, I think I need to set up a couple of macros:

Movies - (turn on receiver in correct mode, turn on TV and switch to DVD). I then would like to have the page be able to present the surround sound settings, volume, etc.

Music - Turn on receiver, switch to DVD, present the surround sound settings, volume, etc.

Movies/VHS - same as movies/DVD except to the VHS player

TV - turn on TV, sat receiver, present list of channels, present the surround sound settings, volume, etc.

The remote has to be user/wife friendly. I'm hoping to get out of this for $250 or less.

Thanks in advance for your advice!

URC's MX-850. I believe you can get it from www.surfremotes.com for about $250-$275 with the MRF-250 base station included.

Harmony 890. Currently available from Amazon for $224

It is the best value for money remote on the market...easy to set up and very easy to use.

Not familiar with the Harmony. But I am with the MX-850. And I love it. I own two. One is used with the 250 base station. Works great for changing channels for another TV in a different room.
