I want to purchase 1 remote for now with the possibility to add more later. I have 3 TV's that receive video feeds through a matrix swtich in my basement. Some of the components are located on the first floor, others in the basement, but all run through the matrix switch.

So I am looking for a RF remote that I can customize to operate in all my rooms. For instance, push a button that says something like "Watch Blu in Bed" and it turns my Blu-Ray player on, my TV on, and turns the Input/Output combination on my matrix switch to send the Blu-ray video feed to my bedroom.

I was looking at 890 Pro's, since I can add on later, but am afraid it may be not customizable enough for what I need. Looking for some suggestions in the Pronto, URC, or Nevo lineup. I really like the newer S70 or Q50 remotes. I consider myself techie and think I can handle the challenge of programming one of those remotes, but maybe I am going to be in over my head.

Oh yeah and price is a factor... Saw a Q50, with StudioPro, and a NevoConnect NIB sell for $300 today. Kicking myself for not bidding Im afraid...

Appreciate the suggestions.

Matt

The Nevo Q50 with a NevoConnect is a good solution. As are the Philips Pronto and URC Complete Control solutions. The product lines you have listed would be the same ones that I would have recommended.

The least expensive solution is probably the URC MX-450 paired with a MRF-260.

I like the customizability (if that is a word) of the Nevo remotes versus the more hard button URC remotes. I think the Q50 and S70 will be out of my price range for now, unless I get a steal some how. How about getting a Nevo SL with Nevo Link? If I am patient, I think I can get that setup for under $200.

What is the difference between the Nevo Connect and Nevo Link?

Can I use multiple Nevo Link's with 1 Nevo SL in order to cover the Wi-Fi range from basement to 2nd floor a little more completely?
