I am looking for a remote that has a very specific function…The ability to program 3-5 buttons with favorite TV channels on the fly. One or all of these favorites may change frequently. Basically looking for buttons on the remote that can be pressed-held to program and that station code/number is stored in the remote until it is changed.
I have a :
Panasonic TV
Sony DVD
Comcast Analog cable box
Everything I do is through the Comcast remote and this is what I want to replace

I just bought a URC WR7 and I believe it does what you want. It has 4 hard buttons at the bottom that can be programmed and reprogrammed for specific channels.
I was planning on buying a URC R50, but saw the WR7 for $27 at BB today and it did everything I wanted and it turns out I like the button layout better than the R50.
