I have a customer who wants a remote, no touch screen, RF capability, simple activity commands, single handed/ergonomic, and of course, easy to use.
What are other options in this price range? Obviously the 890 is discontinued, but I can still pick them up online. I currently have the 890 and really like it as a simple remote, but I'm looking for some more experienced opinions. I also have the TSU9400, but it's out of the price range and uses different software than the TSU9200.
Thanks, Steve
EDIT: I'm not a fan of URC simply do to the programming issues. I'm not an authorized dealer and don't plan on being one.
Also, the price point is $500 or less, color screen.

Also, the price point is $500 or less, color screen. Let's see, Color, RF, non-touch screen, under $500? Try the new Nevo C3.

That Nevo C3 looks nice! What advantages does it have over the Harmony 900? Can sequences be programmed in to it? (not that it matters for this application)
The programming issues are none of the my local URC dealers will provide me with the software.

Not a clue, I haven't gotten my hand on one of these.

CI
"It's not a harmony" is a pretty lousy response. I get it, lots of guys hate harmony, but without a fair reason, in example, low RF distance, or no sequence, it doesn't fly with me as I've had my hands on lots of harmonys that worked great.
Anyway, I ended up ordering the TSU9300 and will go with a hardwired IR extender. I have to fish everything anyway, so what the hell.

It's up to the dealer if they want to let you have the software for the remote with the URC's and rumor has it that will be changing soon.

I never really understood why many CIs seemed to hate Harmonys until I came across a thread somewhere on this forum which effectively said "you can't make a markup on them".

I went to the local electronics store to enquirer about the MX-880. The salesman told me that all I have to do is ask URC for the full program and they will give it to me, so long as I own the remote.
Needles to say, i was quite intrigued.
I would also like to know what is going to be changing...if it means I get full access without being a "certified installer" or "dealer", it might change my tone on URC. Well, it will most definitely change my tone.

That sounds reasonable, but I still don't know why they can't make a markup. It's a 30% markup on materials over here, plus a programming fee. Plus they get the installation for the rest of the job. Why can't they just figure in an extra $200 in to the job? It's not like it is possible to make a killing on an $800 remote.
