That is a great idea. Hope everything is working out well!

Thought I'd check in and let you know that we're now giving away a free RedEye + iPod Touch once we reach 1,000 Fans... [Link: tinyurl.com]

The RedEye is modular and having an extra iPod Touch could help with having a "living room" designated iPod, so the more the merrier!

I am sure you know we were pulling your leg and i have to say that you handled it like a pro!

Welcome to Remote Central kevin :).

I've been using the "DVR Remote" app on my iPhone to control my Tivo HD (and circumvent the IR interference issues caused by my TV when they occur) and I see a lot of promise in your product. Do you have any plans of integrating direct control via Wifi of Tivo products (rather than relaying the IF)?

Is there (or will there be) a way to configure your app prior to purchasing the hardware? Obviously it wouldn't actually control anything until you bought the hardware, but it would be a nice way to demo your product.

We've heard that i.TV does something like this now, but we do not have plans to stray from IR in the immediate future. As for the demo - that's a great idea that we'll be taking a look at it. By the time we launch, we will have demo videos available at our site, www.redeyeremote.com. They should be able to provide a good look into how the RedEye works and what kind of customization's and features are available. Thanks for your suggestion!

So WHY is it called RedEye?
And what do I do with equipment set up with IR flashers attached to my equipment in a closet?
