I need a simple remote for a TV/Sat in a guest room.

TV: power, volume, mute, either a JVC LCD or a Sony Bravia

DTV: numbers, channel +/-, guide, arrows, page up/down, enter, exit

Important: Would be nice to leave the DTV always on, and only power the TV, also important is the fact that I really would love NOT to have a Tv/Sat/Aux buttons. That should be possible, since the TV only needs volume, mute, power.

I've looked around quite a bit, but most remotes have way too many buttons. As this is for a guest house, there is no time for long term 'learning' of the remote.

Thanks,

Michael

Page up/down is going to be hard or impossible to find on an otherwise simple or inexpensive remote. What's your budget; have you considered a touchscreen remote with a simple configuration?

Buy a multi-device remote lke the Sony rm-vl-600. Program the tv device as you wish, once done, then clone the tv device to the other 7 devices, cloning is feature of the Sony remote. Making a 8 in 1, just a 1 in 1. : )

What's wrong with the DTV remote that comes with the box? It will control the TV functionsw you need it to.

edmund - I have the VL610 remote but not sure how to clone the TV device? let's say I set the code for TV device, most of the buttons work right away. Then I teach it certain buttons from the TV remote, will the cloning work for these too?
