I have a Magnavox 27MS343S TV, manufactured in 2003, and no remote. It was a demonstrator and the store clerks lost the remote. I have tried five "universal" remotes with no success so far. Suggestions???

Have you tried going to other stores to see if they have the same TV? Maybe you could get the remotes model number and get an extra remote from Magnavox.

tough one as 2003 i doubt you will find the remote at any store. i would say call magnavox for a replacement or try to find discrete codes for the commands you need and program them into a universal. (you will probably need a mid to high end universal for this feature).

I just checked, and that model is in the Harmony database.
Of course, that doesn't guarantee that every command will work properly, but it might be worth trying a Harmony from a store that will let you return it if it doesn't work fot you.

Thanks to everyone! I was hoping for a fix cheaper than the $48, but I guess it's time to bite the bullet.
