I know all the bad opinions on Bose but when buying our house we inherited the installed Bose system: Lifestyle 18 series 2, so withe the AV18 receiver. If i’m not mistaken this is the same for LS28ii en LS38ii.

Does anyone have the RS232 commands for the Serial data port (3.5mm jack)?
I have search on google but could only find some limited information for older systems.

Thank you!

Thank you for the information.
I have checked the file repository but noticed most posts related to Bose are for older Lifestyle systems (20, 30, 50, ...), related to IR communication and/or in a (to me) strange/unknown file format. E.g. how to open Pronto files in order to extract the necessary information?

The idea is to control the Bose Lifestyle system by serial RS232 communication with a PC or Raspberry Pi in order to incorporate it better in my smart home.

The document I linked to was specifically about controlling BOSE via RS232 serial.

Here is another newer document, that also covers controlling a BOSE system via RS232 serial. Although I don't know if this one will work on an AV18 system:

If you are looking for cut & paste guide for RS232 with BOSE, that has all the conversion work already done for you in a nice spreadsheet; I have never seen one done for BOSE before. It just really isn't that popular of a product with enthusiast.
