Samsung bragged at Cedia that they would be providing IP commands for their TVs.
Anyone discover them?

I have also been trying to get IP control of some 6 and 7 series sets with these same commands but so far without luck, does anyone have any more information regarding ports or just any other documentation relating to the working of this?

Hopefully someone out there can shed some light on it,

Thanks in advance,

Ben

Ben,

Saw your PM.

The IP solutions on GitHub require a device that accepts Python or other programming. I use DemoPad on an iPad to control my home automation. It has a lot of functionality, but falls short of letting you work at the Python level.

So I went the RS232 route. I was hesitant at first, but haven't looked back since.

I bought a Global Caché Flex IP-RS232, plugged it in the MU8000 RS232 port, used Duct Tape's list of codes (on this site) and got every function I wanted working, including powering on/off the TV set.

Happy camper.

yes i have been reading into this but unfortunately the 6400 models we have on site do not have the serial connection on, though i have been reading about a samsung usb serial converter.

I feel however i will have to revert back to good old IR for the tv control.

I was hoping however to have a clean IP controlled install :(

Thanks for your input though, appreciated.
