Has anyone tried controlling a Vizio TV (more specifically an E601i-A3) over IP? The best I could find was that port 13000 is open and not much beyond that. It's a "Yahoo Connected TV" but surely Vizio themselves still have some connectivity to it.

Someone reverse engineered the Vizio SmartCast API: [Link: github.com]

If your TV supports that (which I'm not sure if this one does... I think it's a 2013 model which might be too old for SmastCast) then you could use that to control it. Other than that word I've found around the internet is that Vizio TVs don't support IP control.

However, the Yahoo Connected TV thing might be a way to control the TV. This page here: [Link: developer.yahoo.com]
...suggests that for some versions it's possible to control the TV using it. That might be a good place to start researching.
