I'm considering buying a TCL brand HDTV for my media center. However, it's important that I be able to automate the TV using either RS-232 or IP control.
From the research I've done so far, it looks like TCL brand TVs do not have *any* kind of ability to be automated using either TS-232 or IP. It looks like the only method is using IR.
Is this the case? Has anyone figured out another way to control these TVs other than IR?
