Does anyone here know the RS-232 cable layout for a Marantz SR9600 AV-receiver?
I need a DB9 <-> DB9 cable. I have heard that it should be at straight cable, not a null modem, with the following pin assignement: Pin 2 to pin 2, pin 3 to pin 3, and pin 5 to pin 5.
Can anyone here confirm this?

That looks right according to the pinouts in the control specification at [Link: us.marantz.com]

One easy trick is that when you have a female receptable on the equpment (using a male RS232 socket on the cable) in most cases is a straight through cable. When you have a male receptable on the equipment (using a female RS232 socket on the cable) in most cases it is a null modem cable and you need to twist 2-3 and 7-8

Except that with most of Marantz's gear, the receptacle is a male, but it's acutally a straight through!
