Older TiVo units had a serial port to allow RS232 control. The new units do not have this.
I read another post in this forum where someone took a USB to Serial adapter and was able to send RS232 commands to his DirecTV DVR. Has anyone tried this with a TiVo series 4? Also, which USB to RS232 adapter is recommended for this operation?
