Trying to get volume query from new Denon X4200. I have the Denon RS232/TCP protocol documents but I'm missing something.

Zone 2 Volume feedback works but only on state change. I would like to query the zone 2 volume without changing the volume level. According to Denon there is a Master Volume Query that = MV?\x0D. The only thing I can see in the docs for zone 2 is "channel" volume, not "master" volume. The channel volume query is not working, I'm still forced to change the volume to get the feedback. All other IP commands are working great. I'm using iRule as the front end and the codes are not in their database. Any help would be great.

I can not see a Zone 2 command to query the volume level.
BUT when sending a Z2?\x0D you will get the power status for the zone AND the volume level and a couple of other status messages.

Try sending Z2?\x0D and see if it auto updates the volume feedback for the zone.

Thanks, mrfreeze, I'll try that and see what happens.
