Hi All,
I need to control a Yamaha CD-C600 5 Disc Carousel CD Player.
After many months i have finally received the 232 Protocol from Yamaha.
I have the "codes"
Deciphering the manual to get the codes into a usable string is another thing.
hope someone can help

i can send the manual if you can decode it

thanks in advance

Paul

Which control system are you using? For RS-232 all you need is to send the command string of characters to the device. I have never used the CD-600, but the older Yamaha's require that a jumper is installed between pins 7-8 at the player end.

The player has 232 on/off in it's menu.
I want to control it with a Crestron unit just using one way serial.
I have d/l'ed a module from Crestron but it doesn't work. I have opened the module but i have yet to compare the code with the one Yamaha sent me.
I am definitely getting return data though from the Yamaha when i manually switch the unit on.
