Hey all,
Working with a Sony XBR-55X810C (one of the newer 4K sets) and I'm butting up against an issue where older legacy RS232 codes programmed into my AV control system aren't working with these new displays.
The same codes have worked without a problem on every sony display with an rs232 port since 2008, but I figured someone on here might have some insight?
Next bit - anyone familiar with an issue where these displays power on when connected HDMI devices start sending video? I have media players that automatically output video received over multicast, and when they first boot up it looks like that initial signal causes the display to power on. Just trying to find a workaround.
Thanks! - IV

WRT the issue of the TV powering on when and HDMI-connected device starts up, that behavior is the desired effect of enabling the "Bravia Sync" setting. It shouldn't happen anymore if you disable that.
