I just purchased the LG 49UB8200. I noticed it has a RS232C (mini jack) connection on the back of the TV shown here:


I am wondering where i can find a cable like this for me to use on a PC.
 
Also, would anyone happen to have the codes needed in order to use this RS232 type of port?
 
I've tried calling LG tech support and even got to "Level 2 support" and they kept telling me either i am using the wrong input to my computer (they think i want to hook video from the PC to the TV) or they said its service only port and doesn't have any commands to control the TV.

If you google "lg rs-232 codes" the first result is a pdf of the serial commands. There's also a file [Link: files.remotecentral.com] on this very site.
